Prevention Connections mission

The mission of Prevention Connections (formerly known as the Ulster County Red Ribbon Coalition)

To promote healthier lifestyles, enhance community awareness of the negative impact of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs on violence, crime, DWI, family life, health complications such as HIV/AIDS, preventable injuries and deaths, and reduce the use and abuse of all drugs, especially by young people.

Our core purpose

To bring together the talents, expertise and perspectives of many to inspire and motivate healthy lifestyles and positive changes in behavior regarding drugs, alcohol and tobacco in order to improve the lives of our young people and by extension, the whole Ulster County community.
